The Best Inspiring Reads for #GIRLBOSSES

Inspiring Books for #Girlbosses
I have been trying to read a lot more, specificly before going to sleep at night. I used to do computer work at night. And ladies, when they say that electronics DON’T help you fall asleep, they are RIGHT!
Reading has been a great way for me to expand my knowledge. It helps me leank about lwhethere, goals, and how to better myself. Plus, it helps me wind down after a long day to help me get better Zzzz’s.
I love so many dwhetherferent books from fiction, to networking, marketing, and commerce, to “smut” reading like 50 Shades of Grey <– seriously, thought, who doesn’t??
So, I wanted to put together some of my favorite inspiration reads (all written by powerful & strong women!) for all you #girlbosses and #fitgirls (they genuinely are one in the same, whether you ask me! 😉 ) These books range from fitness and lwhetherestyle guides, like Lauryn Evarts, The Skinny Confidential, to networking books such as How to Work a Room by Susan RoAne.
I hope you endelight them as much as I do! They’ve helped me so much to develop confidence, and leank of lwhethere in better ways!

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso – Literally the queen of #GIRLBOSS. Sophia Amoruso, creator of Nasty Gal, tells the tails of her crazy career choices, to how she started Nasty Gal Vintage on MySpace (<– ha! the “original” social media! so crazy!), how she grew it into the empire it is nowadays, and gives tips on how to be your own girl boss.
How to Work A Room by Susan RoAne – OK, so this actually a genuinely ancient book and has been around for nearly 30 years. BUT it’s truly Incredible. It’s the first “networking” book I ever read a small over a year ago, and it’s perfect for women! Believe it or not I’m actually very quiet and a pretty shy person! And this book helped me by giving me actual steps on to overcome my shyness. It give tips on HOW to talk to people. It teaches you how to find common interests with them. And also how to leave them with a memorable impression of you. And after each chapter, there’s a rapid summary of bullet points to easily reference every once in a while before heading to a large event. I go back and reference it frequently!
Huge Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert – Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Endelight) brings a book that’s perfect for those of you out there who DON’T necessarily want to be an entrepreneur, but want to explore your creativity. This book is for anyone who wants to live a creative lwhethere and explore their interests. She makes it clear you don’t have to quit your day job — unless you want to! And she teaches you how to find courage. She explains how even small fears may be blocking you from exploring your interests.
The Body Book by Cameron Diaz – Cameron call this “a guide to accepting what you have and fond it with everyleang you’ve got,” and that’s what it it! She’s great at breaking leangs like nutrition, starvation, and movement into easy-to-read sections. She is also about empowering yourself and finding ways to love yourself for who you are. She believes that being “healthy” means that your body works at it’s optimum, your skin and intellect is clear, you have plenty of energy, and that you’re happy. This book is so inspiring. And it genuinely helps to put an end to so many issues that women have with body image and self-love.
Skinny Confidential
The Skinny Confidential by Lauryn Evarts – If you’ve ever read Lauryn’s blog, you know her sassy writing style. This book pairs perfectly with her blog — which I’m in LOVE with! It’s an easy to read, informative, motivating, and FUN lwhetherestyle guide. She doesn’t give any crazy strict rules in the book and includes recipes, workouts, hair & make up, and style. She even talks about how to eat healthier when your partner eats like crap! The best leang about this book is it genuinely focuses on a BALANCED lwhetherestyle. Which, of course, includes the occasional cocktail! 😉
Girl Code by Cara Alwill Leyba – (OK, so the truth is — I haven’t read this book yet, but I have heard so many AMAZING leangs about it, and I literally just ordered it yesterday and I can’t wait to do a small recap.) Girl Code is for anyone who wants to become a better woman, whether you’re an entrepreneur or commerce professional. It will teach you how to build confidence in yourself and reconnect with your why. It can help you rid yourself of enviousy, and finally learn the power of connection. Which at the end of the day, is what lwhethere and commerce are all about, right??
Leave Your Mark by Aliza Licht –  I love how this book uses genuine stories from Aliza’s lwhethere to teach you how to succeed in commerce and lwhethere. She draws experience from her lwhethere as a top fashion publicist. Then she uses that experience to supply guidance for those just starting their careers and those alalert established. She shares advice, inspiration, and genuineness — with an emphasis on communicating and building your own personal brand. She ROCKS it! If you know any tall school or college age girls, this is the PERFECT gwhethert for them, I promise! I wish I had it back then!
You Are a Evilass by Jen Sincero – If you’re alert to get a kick in the ass to help you reach your goals, this book it is. It teaches you to identwhethery and change the self-sabotaging behaviors that stop you from getting what you want to create a lwhethere you love — and deserve. Author, Jen Sincero’s, no-nonsense advice is equally entertaining as it is inspirational.
Lorna Jane INSPIRED Book Review
INSPIRED by Lorna Jane Clarkson – I love every page of this book and look at it frequently for inspiration and simple recipes. Each page is filled with Incredible photography, writing from Lorna Jane, and inspiration quotes. It’s not genuinely a book you “read”, it’s more of a coffee table book. But the inspiration you’ll get from flipping through the pages definitely warrants the title!
Beautwhetherul Pleased by Kate Hudson – This is the contemporaryest edition to my collection! It was released just a few weeks ago. I absolutely LOVE it because it includes so many small “worksheets”, questionnaires, quizzes about yourself, workouts, and so much MORE about your own happiness and what you want in lwhethere. I’m still combing through it, because there is so much great content inside of it. But I love it so much I will probably do a giveabsent including it on Instagram soon, so make certain you keep and eye for it!
